Review of Jamaica Vacations

So many people dream of a fabulous vacation to Jamaica, but  don’t know where to go. The confusion is understandable as there are many Jamaica vacation spots. Before I tell you about one of my favorite resorts, let me tell you the smartest way to go. All inclusive vacations to Jamaica are the only way to go. You save up your money, pay for the trip, then travel without spending another dime the entire time. No stress. No worries. That’s exactly the Jamaican style, too!

Couples Sans Souci

My favorite, often mis-spelled as Couples San Souci literally means ‘without cares’. That’s what a Jamaica vacation should be all about. As soon as you pick up your luggage from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, you are led to a lounge and served a Red Stripe (pretty tasty after a long flight) or a Ting (Jamaica’s grapefruit soda) which I can’t bring myself to try.

Then hop aboard a bus or van depending on how large a contingent of people are travelling with you. Either option will have air conditioning and a friendly driver who will point out various high-points along the way to Couples Sans Souci. Yeah, mon

It’s an hour and a half or two hour ride so take a book or music player. If you’re a thrill seeker sit up front and watch the roller coaster type action. These drivers are liberal with the rules of the road. Finally you’ll arrive at your destination

This is one of the more classy Jamaican resorts (though not as expensive as you’d think). It is not painted with your typical bright orange and yellow Caribbean colors that are louder than the ocean surf.

You’ll be greeted with a glass of champagne upon your arrival at the resort. Then a brief orientation and they’ll show you to your room. The rooms are awesome. Some are ocean facing, some are garden facing. Ocean views cost more of course. If you are the type to sip fruity drinks on your balcony, you’ll want to get the ocean view. If you just want to drop your stuff and head to the beach, then the garden view is very pretty and quite sufficient.

One cannot give a review of Couples Sans Souci without discussing stairs. There are a lot of them. Down the stairs to eat breakfast. Up the stairs to go to your room. Down the stairs to go to the beach. Up the stairs go to the game room. Down. Up. The good thing is that you’ll stuff yourself on all the awesome food and need a little exercise to work it off.

Speaking of exercise, they have a pretty fully equipped gym. There are also aerobics classes and yoga classes.

A few of the great things about Couples Sans Souci: Plenty of variety in dining is available. Lots of entertainment each evening. Awesome, friendly staff. A beach that is secluded from the pounding waves of some resorts. A nude beach for the more adventurous couples. Room service – order up a meal or just a couple of cocktails.

You will never want to leave Couples Sans Souci once you've arrived. This resort is one of my favorite places to have a Jamaica Vacation. Yeah, mon!
